Bruce learned pulse diagnosis through two Masters from Taiwan and Australia. He has read over 30,000 pulses to fine-tune his craft and uses it with every patient that presents at his busy 30 patient per day clinic.

How are Modules Delivered?
Each module is delivered online via video instruction with supporting materials and technical support. You can start at any time and learn at your own pace.
How Can I Learn Pulse Diagnosis Online?
There are two aspects: the theory; and the practise.
The theory is taught in an easily understood and logical way (eg. the different pulse positions, their meaning, what herbs to use, etc…). Every pulse is presented in an easy-to-follow pulse diagram.
In practise you will learn by doing it. For every patient you see (plus your family and friends) you will check all of their pulses. For example, if a patient presents with a chief symptom (say reflux), you will then check their stomach pulse to immediately see what a ‘reflux’ pulse feels like (per the pulse diagram provided). Once you feel a specific pulse, you never forget it. You continue to do this with every patient, continuously referring back to the pulse diagrams provided.
Practitioners that order the Entire Naturopathic Pulse Program can do hands-on learning at Dr Bruce’s clinic in Victoria. This helps you get proficient at reading the pulse much more quickly.
How Do I Receive My Course/Modules?

How Long Does it Take to Learn?
You study each module you purchase at your own pace. The modules are designed to provide efficient and highly practical instruction on how to read pulses so you can start using pulse diagnosis in your practice in the shortest possible time. Allocate around 2 hours to work your way through each module’s materials. You will retain all materials to review as you need as you begin using pulse diagnosis in your clinic.
It will take you 3 to 6 months of checking pulses, referring to pulse diagrams and then rechecking after treatment to become proficient (depending on your patient volume). What Do I Get When I Complete the Program?
When you complete a module, you can elect to take a quiz. The quiz is to test your understanding of the materials and is designed to help you obtain CPD points (pending your association’s requirements). Does Pulse Diagnosis Replace Pathology
Largely, yes. But not entirely. Dr Bruce rarely has to order pathology to diagnose patients. For more difficult cases, the pulse will help you rule out many potential causes of a health condition to enable you to be very specific with any pathology you order. In practice, use pulse diagnosis every time and pathology when you really need to.

How Does the Pulse Help Me to Prescribe Herbs?
Specific pulses require specific herbs. You read the pulse and then prescribe herbs from the herb lists provided to you in the materials. You will still need to create a patient-specific formula, however the pulse will inform you which herbs you should use to make up that formula. That said, for every pulse, we provide sample formulas.
